Churchman Tobacco KINGS OF SPEED - Full Set of 50 Cards Inc. Jesse Owens - 1939

Description

This item is a complete set of 50 standard size Original Cigarette Cards issued by the Churchman Co. in 1939 on the theme of Kings of Speed. Includes the rare Jesse Owens card as well as 49 others. The stories of their feats are told in text printed on the backs of the cards. Cards are in excellent condition with no folds noticed and minimal evidence of handling (all corners and edges are sharp). Only flaws of note are a small brown stain on the reverse of card 38 H.R. Pearce (appears to be tobacco, which makes sense) and what appears to be a slight printing smear on the reverse of card 46 J.E. Lovelock. All fronts are excellent. Comes in custom album pages specially made for cigarette cards.
